Was There An 'Alien' Outside Miami Mall? Police React To Viral Video

The existence of extraterrestrials or aliens has long been an interesting topic of debate. Scientists continue to look for answers on the existence of extraterrestrial life. Even in pop culture, we have come across the story of aliens in films and television shows like Cloverfield, Prometheus, Predators, and Life. However, residents of Miami encountered a pseudo-alien-like situation when videos surfaced on the internet showcasing a 10-ft-tall alien roaming outside a shopping mall. However, later on, the police authorities cleared the air by explaining what actually happened.

The video dropped on X (formerly Twitter) showed police cars outside the mall premises. Lights started flashing from the vehicles along with the repeated blaring of collective sirens. Amidst this, eagle-eyed users noticed two or three giant, shadow-like structures, resembling an “alien” walking outside the Bayside Marketplace. Video footage of panic-stricken people fleeing from the scene also surfaced on the internet.

Soon after, reactions flooded the microblogging platform with users coming out with their respective views. While some opined that they spotted UFOs, others mentioned that the presence of alien figures in the city led to the blurred footage, shutdown of airports, and power cuts. However, putting a rest to the speculations, the Miami Police on January 5 released an official statement that read, “There were no aliens, UFOs, or ETs. No airports were closed. No power outages.”

As per a report by Forbes, the cops clarified that they arrived at the place after they were informed about a fight between teenagers outside the shopping mall. The lineup of vehicles was in response to stop the fight. In fact, talking about the circulating viral videos, police officer Michael Vega said, “It’s a shadow of a person walking. If you look at the beginning of the clip, you can see the person at the bottom of the shadow.”

X users were however not fully convinced by the police statements. While one individual pointed out, “They also shut down MIAMI AIRPORT. That many cop cars for just teens? I saw an old footage of a fight at the same mall 2 years ago. You saw Iike 3 or 4 cars. Look it up. Black Choppers??? If there were 8 to 10-foot aliens at the mall it would look like this,” another quipped, “Aliens apparently have a universal ability to make all cameras lose focus when filming them.”

“I’m not a conspiracy theorist but when this many cops show up to shut down a Miami mall, and not one single person took a video from inside or driving by? Something is off. Rumours are there were “8-10 foot shadow aliens,” read a third theory.
