This video from inside the factory is quite surprising and people after watching it say that this work is hazardous.
The video was posted on the Instagram account @factory_made_india showing the making of the sutli bomb. This sutli bomb is in high demand during Diwali as it is small in size, it makes a very loud sound. Due to the string with which it is tied, its design is also very attractive. But its making is a very tedious and risky work.
First, the gunpowder is filled in the thread, then the thread is properly knotted. After that, the bomb is painted green and dried in the sun. After inserting the wick, it is fired and then packed. Imagine if even a spark accidentally ignites in all this, how much danger can be to life and property? These people are not even wearing anything for safety on their hands, all the gunpowder seems to be in their hands.
The video has garnered 57 lakh views and many people have commented on it. One said that these people should at least wear gloves. Another said that Diwali preparations are in full swing. Another said that they should have set off a firecracker as well. Another said that this is causing a lot of pollution.
Besides, in a bid to curb rising air pollution in the national capital, Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Monday announced a complete ban on the manufacture, sale and use of all fireworks, including green firecrackers, till January 1, 2025. This decision is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to reduce air pollution, especially during the winter months when air quality usually deteriorates.
