Another one said that these are real farmers. “These people must be from the family of Bhuvan from Lagaan,” added the third user. Even today, a large number of farmers in the country are dependent on monsoons; their happiness also doubles as soon as it rains.
On Wednesday, nine people were killed and hundreds were shifted to safety due to excessive rain continuing to lash various parts of Gujarat. According to the latest report, three people died at Devbhumi Dwarka, two each at Banaskantha and Kutch, and one each at Rajkot and Surat. On the same day, hundreds of people were also evacuated after swollen rivers and overflowing dams cut off several villages and inundated low-lying areas in the state.
As per the latest reports, Gujarat is facing a severe flood crisis with heavy rains claiming eight more lives on July 24, pushing the state’s rain-related death toll to 61. The situation has prompted the mobilisation of National and State Disaster Response Forces (NDRF and SDRF) to manage the emergency and aid in rescue operations.
