US Vlogger Faces Backlash For Trying To Get Sick In Pakistan: ‘This Is So Disrespectful’
The US vlogger claims to be on a mission to intentionally get food poisoning in Pakistan and social media users aren’t impressed.

The Internet is filled with videos of food, featuring everything from exotic recipes to people exploring unique dishes from around the globe. However, one recent video has sparked outrage among social media users.

A US vlogger goes on a street food adventure in Lahore, Pakistan, to try some of the most popular dishes. Shockingly, he claims to be on a mission to intentionally get food poisoning and social media users aren’t impressed.

Many criticized the vlogger for his disrespectful behaviour towards Pakistan. Since he shared the video on Instagram, it has gone viral and garnered over 1 million views.

Before proceeding with his mission, the traveller says, “Eating street food until I get food poisoning. Currently, I’m in Lahore, Pakistan and I’m gonna be walking around finding the weirdest thing I can find and eating it.” Starting with halwa, the vlogger proceeds to try lassi and pakora in the video.

Sharing the video, the content creator captioned, “Pakistan is one of my favourite places to eat. One of my favourite days from my trip to Pakistan was exploring the narrow streets in the walled city of Lahore. Didn’t include this in the video but most of the food was gifted to me as a gesture of hospitality. Pakistanis are some of the kindest people in the world. Also, going to a country in a few days without street food so the series will be on hold for a week or so. Anyway, so happy with how these are coming out. Hope everyone enjoys them.”

Reacting to the post, a user joked, “The weirdest thing you can find is on your mirror. Don’t travel to places if you’re going to insult their way of living for internet points.”

Another wondered, “Why do white people do things like this?”

“He will eventually develop a super saiyan level immunity lol,” a comment read.

Another wrote, “Wow I’m shocked. To tell us in the mic that you’re scared, and think you’re going to get poisoned by the food for views but then smile in the faces of locals isn’t wild?”

An individual shared, “This is so disrespectful to the culture. Halwa and lassi are the tastiest dessert and drink and bro thinks he will get food poisoning just because he hasn’t seen anything like it.”

One more added, “This is the whitest thing I have ever seen.”

At the end of the video, the content creator assured his followers that the food in Pakistan was incredibly delicious and that he did not experience any food poisoning.
