Nowadays, LED lights are gaining popularity due to their efficiency in comparison to traditional light bulbs. They are not only used in homes but also in various industrial, commercial and public settings. While LEDs are initially more expensive, their long-term benefits, such as energy savings, make them a preferred choice for many. However, repairing a faulty LED bulb has been challenging, often requiring replacement.
A new hack has surfaced on social media, offering a solution to repair fused LED bulbs quickly at home. According to reports, this method involves simple steps and common household items. In a viral video tutorial, viewers are guided through the process, which begins with removing the upper part of the fused bulb to access its interior.
Inside the bulb, there are small golden-coloured blocks, with one or two being faulty, leading to the bulb’s malfunction. To identify the defective blocks, a small wire is peeled from both sides to expose the metal. The bulb is then reinserted into its holder and switched on.
The next step involves placing both ends of the wire on each block and observing if the light turns on. If not, it indicates a fault in the block that needs addressing. The faulty block is marked for reference and then removed using pliers.
Subsequently, a piece of aluminium foil, commonly found in every household for food packing, is cut to the size and shape of the faulty block. This foil is taped onto the block, effectively replacing it. With this simple fix, the LED bulb is restored to working condition and can be used again.
