And a recent social media post that has clocked over 15 million views proves just that. Many foreigners, who might be aware of the seventh wonder of the world – Taj Mahal, may not have listened to “Suno Na Sangemarmar” shot around the historical monument in Agra. But, not knowing an artist who has cemented his place in the music industry for his soulful voice and emotional renditions is not something to brag about.

And this X user, while reacting to the post that asks people to “like” it if they haven’t “heard a song by Singh”, said something which is on-point: “Western people think the world revolves around them. Do they know that India is the most populated country? Of course, it makes sense for him to have many followers on Spotify.”

“Maybe, Europeans are right when they say Americans think the world revolves around them,” another X user echoed a similar thought.

This individual just spitted some serious facts, stating, “South Asia has a population of roughly 1.9 billion people,” making it obvious that not everything is about America.

Yet another individual weighed in with a critique of American music taste: “Imagine missing out on some world class music. I understand not everyone has a good taste in music.” Do you agree with this person?

As one Internet user aptly put it, “That’s not a flex; you’re missing out, I fear….” We can’t help but feel sorry for those who haven’t yet experienced the magic of this gifted playback singer, because music truly knows no boundaries. That’s the kind of global impact great music can have, and Arijit Singh is no exception.

And if we talk about his achievements, he has many feathers in his cap. He is the recipient of several accolades including two National Film Awards and seven Filmfare Awards. On top of that, he was the most-streamed Indian artist on Spotify for four consecutive years – from 2020 to 2023.
