Student Expresses Anger As NEET-PG Entrance Exam Gets Postponed: 'You Have The Audacity'
The video circulating online features a student criticising the Ministry of Education for "ruining the lives of students" after postponing NEET exams.

Students from across the country, who had travelled to various cities for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET-PG) 2024 scheduled for June 23, were left dismayed when the exam was unexpectedly cancelled just a few hours before its commencement. The last-minute decision sparked widespread frustration among candidates, many of whom had dedicated months of preparation. In response to the abrupt cancellation, many students voiced their discontent and criticised the authorities. A video now doing rounds online features a student condemning the Ministry of Education for “ruining the lives of young students”.

“I Just found out that the NEET PG examination that was supposed to be conducted tomorrow, at 9:30 AM just got postponed and the circular for the postponement was released 15 minutes ago which means it was less than 12 hours before the actual paper was supposed to be conducted. Are the people in the Ministry of Education even eligible to make such decisions? Are they even eligible to be in that position of power and change and make policies that will ruin people’s lives like this? Do you not think before doing such things? You are trying to protect the integrity and sanctity of the examination, by stopping it 12 hours before the paper,” the student said.

“What did you do when you were releasing the admit cards? The NEET UG controversy was going on even then, what stopped you then and why are you doing it now, what point are you trying to prove here? These are doctors, these are not small kids, they’re writing an exam to stay in this very country that you are ruining with their policies and then you have the audacity to ask everybody, ‘Why is everyone leaving the country? It’s such a great system here,’ worst system you have,” the frustrated student concluded.

Reacting to the post, a user said, “I believe if more students start criticising the government they may get justice on time.”

“The bureaucrats and the politicians have ruined the future of the student community,” a comment read.

Another wrote, “The frustration is building up don’t know when the government is going to open its eyes.”

An individual shared, “Agar exam postponed karna hi tha to 1-2 din pehle karte. (If they wanted to postpone the exam, they should have done it 1-2 days earlier).”

One more suggested, “All the PG Students should file a Defamation case against the Ministry.”

The Union Health Ministry announced the postponement of the NEET-PG 2024 exams, claiming that the decision was made to protect the students’ well-being and maintain the exam integrity. They also assured that new dates will be released as soon as possible.
