Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, seems to be settled into his new life in California, as he recently flaunted his surfing skills. Shared on Instagram by surfing legend Raimana Van Bastolaer, the clip features Harry confidently riding the waves in a man-made pool at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch. The video starts with Harry entering the water alone and his coach cheers for him. As he goes into the water, he impressively manages to stand up on the surfboard without losing his balance. Many social media users praised his surfing technique, as the water sport is considered one of the toughest to master. Interestingly, Harry isn’t the only royal to try surfing, his brother, Prince William and their father, King Charles, have also enjoyed the sport in the past.
As soon as the coach gives the signal, Harry jumps into the water and glides through the waves like a pro. In the background, Raimana can be heard enthusiastically cheering and shouting, “Love you, brother. Enjoy, my brother.” Sharing the video, the coach wrote, “In Tahiti, we still call you Prince Harry but at surfranch, it’s my Brother. It was an honour to have you surf with me.”
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Prince Harry, you have always been my favorite royal guy but now you stole my heart forever. That was awesome.”
Another shared, “Good he is living his best life.”
“Prince Harry? Wants to surf now? That is the best athletic accomplishment of any Royal yet. Besides Hunt on horses,” a comment read.
Another noted, “Surfing was indeed a sport for kings, and we’re going back to the roots with the prince catching waves.”
An individual shared, “This is the person they think is begging to go back to cold wet England to live in a shoe box lmao.”
One more added, “Just goes to show, money can buy you anything.”
Since the video was shared on Instagram, it has garnered over 17 lakh views.
