Left-arm pacer Saurabh Netravalkar turned out to be a hero for the USA, helping his team secure a historic triumph over Pakistan in a T20 World Cup match on June 6. Following his match-winning exploits in Dallas, Netravalkar was congratulated by Oracle, an American tech company where he works as a senior software engineer. The Mumbai-born cricketer moved to the United States in 2015 to pursue higher education in Computer Science. Despite being an active member of the USA cricket team, Netravalkar chose to continue his job with Oracle. He has been a key member of the company’s technical team for nearly eight years.
Oracle dropped a congratulatory note for Saurabh Netravalkar on X (formerly Twitter). Following his Super Over heroics against Pakistan, an account named Front Office Sports shared a screenshot of Netravalkar’s LinkedIn profile.

Oracle reshared the post and lauded Saurabh Netravalkar and the USA cricket team for achieving the historic feat on home soil. “Congrats USA Cricket on a historic result! Proud of the team and our very own engineering and cricket star Saurabh Netravalkar,” the company wrote on X.
After the post surfaced online, many cricket fans marked their reactions in the comment section, showering plaudit on Saurabh Netravalkar. One of them feels Oracle should present the cricketer-cum-engineer with “the most recognised Employee award.”

Saurabh Netravalkar did his graduation in Computer Engineering from Mumbai University before pursuing a Master’s from Cornell University. He kicked off his cricket career in India and donned the Blue jersey in the 2010 U-19 World Cup. The 32-year-old speedster also represented Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy in 2013. Netravalkar made his debut for the USA national team in 2018.
