Couple’s public display of affection (PDA) has escalated to new heights, whether it’s on the road or on public transportation. They seem oblivious to the impact of their actions on those around them. In a recent incident, a couple was captured engaging in inappropriate behaviour while riding a moving two-wheeler in Mumbai. The viral video depicted them hugging and kissing on a scooty at Bandra Reclamation, prompting calls for stringent police action against them.
The video showcased a conspicuous tight hug, with the woman seated on her partner’s lap in a reversed position, both covered by a stole (shawl). Allegedly filmed by a fellow commuter, the footage revealed the couple drawing even closer, embracing tightly while being recorded. Adding to the audacity, the duo was observed riding a scooter without helmets on Mumbai’s highway.
Since its online circulation, the video has gained viral attention, sparking outrage among social media users. In the comments section, one user tagged the Mumbai Police, urging decisive action against the duo for their unconventional scooter ride.

“Allow them to savor the journey, and consider implementing a law, rather than just a rule, stipulating that injuries to themselves won’t be justified. However, if their actions lead to injuries for others, these riders should be responsible for compensation,” expressed one user. Another concurred, stating, “Police Must take action on them….it is dangerous for all who was on road….it should be condemned.”

Earlier, a couple faced public scrutiny in a viral video across various social media platforms, displaying a PDA while riding a bike on NH9 near Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area. The footage depicted the woman seated on the fuel tank, facing her partner, engaging in affectionate gestures during the ride. Compounding the issue was their blatant disregard for road safety, evident from their failure to wear helmets.
The video, shared online by a passerby, triggered a response from authorities. The Ghaziabad Traffic Police addressed the issue on Twitter, confirming that appropriate penalties had been levied. The bike rider incurred a total fine of Rs. 21,000 for multiple violations, encompassing the absence of a helmet, a faulty number plate, violations of air pollution standards, and engaging in unauthorised racing and speed trials in a public space.
