Manu Bhaker's Father On His Daughter's Rumoured Affair With Neeraj Chopra: ‘Not Thinking About It’
Manu Bhaker’s father Ram Kishan Bhaker has reacted to the social media chatter and said that his daughter is “still very young” and they are “not even thinking about" her marriage.

Even after the completion of the 2024 Paris Olympics, India’s two finest athletes – Neeraj Chopra and Manu Bhaker – have kept hogging the limelight. While Manu won two bronze medals in Paris, Neeraj clinched a silver at the Summer Games 2024. The two athletes recently hit the headlines after Manu’s mother Sumedha Bhaker was seen holding Neeraj’s hand and having a conversation with the star javelin thrower. While the topic of the chat was not comprehensible, social media users did not waste much time speculating about some kind of off-the-field connection between the two Olympians. Now, Manu’s father Ram Kishan Bhaker has reacted to the social media chatter and said that his daughter is “still very young” and they are “not even thinking about” her marriage.

Ram Kishan Bhaker told Dainik Bhasker, “Manu is still very young. She is not even of marriageable age. Not even thinking about it right now.” Talking about the viral video featuring his wife and Neeraj Chopra, Ram Kishan said, “Manu’s mother considers Neeraj like her son.”

Neeraj Chopra’s uncle also reportedly talked about the now-viral chat. “Just as Neeraj brought the medal, the entire country got to know about it. Similarly, when he marries, then everyone will know,” he was quoted as saying.

In another viral video, both Neeraj Chopra and Manu Bhaker were seen having a conversation.

Reacting to the video, one social media user commented, “Neeraj Chopra is a bit shy by nature, that is why people might be thinking that there is something like this.”

“Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol vibes,” read another response.

“If this is true. Perfect jodi,” commented another person.

A user wrote, “They might be talking about how to win the #Gold for India in the next Olympics.”

Manu Bhaker earned two bronze medals in the women’s 10m air pistol event, and 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics 2024. The 22-year-old emerged as the first Indian woman shooter to be on the Olympic podium. Later, Manu and India’s bronze medal-winning hockey team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh carried the country’s flag at the closing ceremony, held at the Stade de France in Paris.
