People experiment with new ways to beat the heat every summer. But one thing that remains constant is the demand for ice cream. Be it adults or kids, everyone enjoys a cool-flavoured treat now and then. So, instead of your regular cones or sticks, how about a 10 feet tall ice cream? Recently, Guinness World Records’ official Instagram page posted a throwback video showing the production of an ice cream cone that was more than 10 feet tall.
The Guinness World Record for the world’s tallest ice cream cone was set in 2015 by Hennig-Olsen, an ice cream firm in Norway. According to GWR, this huge cone weighed almost a tonne and could carry 1,080 litres of ice cream. The video shared on Instagram recently showed how the company built the gigantic cone using a steel structure. The team whipped up the cream to fill this cone. Interestingly, they did not use a car or truck to transport this product. To show it to the public, they used a helicopter to airlift it from the ice cream factory where it was manufactured to the display area. After the record was set, the ice cream was scooped using a scale and distributed to the locals. The caption stated, “Tallest ice cream cone 3.08 m (10 ft 1.26 in) by Hennig-Olsen Is AS and Trond L Woie,”

Netizens were quite extended to know about this record. A user stated, “Someone buy me this,” while another person noted, “Finally they are making good records again.”
An individual simply exclaimed, “Daym the ice cream cone is so huge.”
“It was very happy, the children must have had fun,” said one user while another joked, “Sucha a fatty record.”
For Hennig-Olsen’s record attempt, Project manager Tron Woien told GWR “A Guinness World Records title is the highest recognition a world achievement can have. We are happy to announce that we fulfilled the requirement and achieved our goal.”
Paal Hannig-Olsen, a third-generation family member who is in charge of the ice company, was pleased with the success. He stated that they provided hundreds of portions of ice cream to Norway’s ice cream enthusiasts. The mood was excellent, and it was wonderful to be able to experience such a big ice cream event with everyone there.
