'Indian Men Don't Deserve Women': Son's Heartfelt Post For Mom Taking First Break in 60 Years
Bengaluru man's post on his mother taking first break from her homemaking duties goes viral, internet reacts.

In an Indian household, we often talk about and witness a woman’s sacrifice, noticing how she manages the home single-handedly at the expense of her own independence and life. Sadly, this is something we acknowledge but seldom express gratitude for. However, a man from Bengaluru recently shed light on this issue, emphasising the need for our mothers to take a break for themselves, away from the constant caretaking role.

This man, known as @geometricmagic on ‘X’, shared a heartwarming video of his mother enjoying herself in the snow, a rare moment where she took a break from her homemaking duties after 60 years. His reflection on the experience was poignant: “Here’s my mum taking her first proper break after 60 long years, that too after much convincing because she was worried about my dad. I truly think most Indian men don’t deserve Indian women.”

His sentiment struck a chord with many, who chimed in with their own stories and support for his mother’s newfound freedom. “No joke I personally feel my mom is living a good relaxed quality life after my father passed away like her smiles are bigger lol nothing against my dad but just my general observation,” shared one user.

Another added, “I wish & hope this video reaches to the most wholesome nos in the world. Extremely heart warming and so much emotional at the same time. Sad but that true part that, that Indian men don’t deserve Indian women. I see my mother everyday and realise that, but I’ll show this to her.

Among the responses, a simple comment stood out: “Aunty bending and picking up the snow without a hitch in her back makes me smile. Stay healthy always,” said the third.

Despite the positive responses, some pointed out that not all men fit this generalisation, and while there are exceptions, they should not remain exceptions forever. After all, every melody deserves a harmonious resolution.
