In Spine-Chilling Video, Car Avoids Collision With Incoming Train At Railway Crossing

A shocking video that shows a car driving mere inches away from an Indian Railway train is going viral. It appears that the car moved past the railway crossing stop and started driving right next to the train which was moving at a very low speed. On both sides, people wait for the train to pass and also curiously inspect the car’s unusual movement. The number plate of the car suggests that it belonged to someone in Uttar Pradesh. The white car’s model appears to be a Maruti Suzuki Dzire. It is unclear when and where this video was taken.

The undated video was posted on X. The 28-second video was captioned, “Now that’s what we call a close escape. Also, A part of me wanted the train to at least do some damage to the car, it would have been a great lesson to the stupid car owner. Indian railways.”

In the comments, many people wondered why the car driver took the risk of passing by the railway crossing sign when others were waiting patiently. An X user highlighted how such actions can be dangerous and wrote, “Actually I was surprised by those standing next to the car and taking video as a slight touch by train may create a big damage there. Especially the gentleman standing behind the car. The train is accelerating and a small vibration could move the car closer to the train. World of stupids.” Expressing a similar sentiment, another commented, “Sad part is people are watching with mobile cams. However, Indian people don’t follow rules strictly. This is one such example.”

People also argued that action should be taken against the car driver. An X user wrote, “RPF and local police should log complaints and actions should be taken.” Another mentioned, “Don’t know why people act so stupid. Car driver needs to be fined and license cancelled if he/she has a license to drive at all.”

Back in 2020, the official X handle of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) shared chilling CCTV footage that showed a car colliding with an incoming train. Fortunately, no lives were lost in this accident.

While sharing this clip LAPD wrote, “This could’ve had a tragic outcome. Fortunately the driver survived with minor injuries, but this should serve as a good reminder to all of us — pay attention near train tracks, and always obey all traffic signals and devices.”
