Well, in places like West Palm Beach and Boca Raton in the USA Florida city is where a few of the richest people live. Naturally, they also have housekeepers to help them out with their daily chores. While you may expect them to get about Rs 50,000 – 60,000 or even a lakh, this is not true for housekeepers employed on Florida’s billionaires’ services.
As per Daily Mail, housekeepers in Florida are paid up to $150,000 (approx 1.25 crore) yearly to housekeepers or servants working in their homes. They also get paid extra for overtime. They are also provided with all kinds of facilities including health insurance. Due to such high salaries, people look for employees to work here. In 2020, a housekeeper’s salary was about $25 (Rs 2,100) per hour, which increased to $45 or $50 (approx Rs 3,700- Rs 4,100) per hour this year.
April Berube, founder of The Wellington, an agency known for providing domestic servants shared that they have been in the business for the last 30 years. This time they have witnessed a never-before-seen demand. Rich people are happy to pay huge sums of money to housekeepers.
Melissa Sittos of Lily Pond Services, a staffing company is willing to pay a huge amount of money. The company witnessed a huge change since Covid-19. The rich people are demanding the best housekeepers and are ready to pay exorbitant amounts of money. They want smart people able to take care of their house efficiently, not ruin their Italian designer carpet and maintain their luxurious marble floor without spoiling it.
