The said person ordered the dish from a restaurant named Mehfil, a well-known Mughlai food franchise in Hyderabad. Fortunately, Avinash later said that the issue was resolved.

Metal blade in Air India’s food
As of now, people used to compare airline meals to ‘inedible’ hostel food. But now, a new fear has been unlocked after a passenger of Air India flight AI 175 from Bengaluru to San Francisco found a piece of metal blade in his meal of roasted sweet potato and fig chaat. Yes, we aren’t joking. The flyer, Mathures Paul, shared that he luckily avoided injury after chewing into the metal piece for a while and spitting it out. He posted about the incident on social media, criticising Air India’s catering services.

Dead mouse in Hershey’s chocolate syrup
In another bizarre incident, a family had a distressing encounter when they allegedly found a dead mouse inside a Hershey’s chocolate syrup bottle. The shocking incident came to light after they shared their harrowing experience on Instagram. In their post, they mentioned that three members of the family had already consumed the syrup, leading one to see a doctor immediately due to health worries. The family claimed no action has been taken, while the company urged them to share more details to investigate and reach out for a resolution.
Centipede in Amul ice-cream
If you are a person with a sweet tooth who often craves eating ice- cream, then this bizarre incident will give you chills. A Noida resident claimed to have found a centipede in an Amul ice cream tub she ordered from Blinkit. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which markets dairy products under the Amul brand, regretted the incident and assured the customer of stringent quality controls. Moreover, Noida’s food safety department has also launched a probe into the matter.

Live Worm in Dairy Milk
Just hearing this will make you go eerie. A man discovered a live worm wriggling within a Cadbury he bought from a store in Telangana on the occasion of Chocolate Day. He immediately shared a video on ‘X’ displaying a tiny worm crawling on the back of Cadbury Dairy Milk ‘Roast Almond’ and the chocolate’s purchase receipt. The buyer, Robin Zaccheus, also lodged a complaint, tagging Dairy Milk India, the concerned retail store, and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), among others.
Later, the said user shared an update on the issue. Dropping photos of a lab report from the Telangana State Food laboratory, they claimed that the lab report confirms that the “Cadbury Chocolate (Roasted Almond) was “UNSAFE TO CONSUME” and “they found WHITE WORMS & WEB!”

Dead Cockroach In Vande Bharat Meal
A couple travelling on the Vande Bharat train found a cockroach in the meal served to them on June 18. The couple’s nephew dropped the picture of the incident on social media platform X demanding action against the vendor. Responding to the post, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) stated that a suitable penalty has been applied to the concerned service provider.

Dead snake in Mess food
In Bihar’s Banka district, ten students of a government engineering college had to be taken to a hospital after a dead snake was allegedly found in their mess food. The mess is run by a private contractor. Fortunately, the on-duty doctor said that all students, who came with complaints of food poisoning, are healthy now. The incident sparked outrage at the hostel, with the students protesting against the incident and alleging that college staff had even threatened them. Meanwhile, there are reports that the issue with food quality pertains to the girls’ mess too.
Human finger in ice-cream
Thinking about what could be even worse? Let us tell you that a 27-year-old doctor in Mumbai, Brendan Ferrao, found a human finger in a Yummo Ice Cream’s butterscotch cone. The cone was ordered by his sister via the grocery delivery app Zepto. According to the Free Press Journal, the person sensed something unusual on his tongue after eating half of the ice cream. He then discovered the finger, about 2 cm long. He shared a post on social media showing the body part sticking out of the dessert.

He reported the incident to the Malad police, who sent the thumb for forensic testing, and a case against the ice cream company has started.
