A popular e-commerce platform, Nykaa, has reunited beloved characters ACP Pradyuman and Inspector Daya from CID for a unique campaign focused on skincare solutions.

Remember the legendary duo from the TV show CID, ACP Pradyuman and Inspector Daya, who cracked tough criminal cases for two decades? Brace yourself because they are back in action, but this time they are tackling a different kind of mystery – skin problems. Confused? Well, a popular e-commerce platform, Nykaa, has brilliantly reunited these beloved characters for a unique campaign focused on skincare solutions. Since its online debut, the advertisement became an instant viral sensation, sparking a whirlwind of excitement as users witness the iconic duo in an entirely unexpected role.

The footage begins with ACP Pradyuman, visibly agitated, clutching a stack of files in his trademark manner, stating, “Itne saare cases, itne saare problems. Samjh me nhi aata yeh chakkar kya hai? (So many cases, so many problems. Can’t understand what is all the confusion about?” Beside him, Inspector Daya stands attentively as ACP pulls out a file reading out the first case labelled as “Acne and pimples.” This prompts Daya to interject with, “This doesn’t look right.” But not only this, in another instance, ACP picks up another file and reads out from it, “Open pores,” which Daya mishears as “Open doors,” instantly gearing up with enthusiasm to “break down” doors as he famously does on the show. As they put their minds on the skincare cases, ACP eventually concludes that these are all “open and shut” cases. He then reveals Nykaa’s solution which is a four-step skin care routine – C (cleanse), S (serum), M (mosituriser) and S (sunscreen) – for tackling skin issues.

The caption accompanying the clip reads, “Ab ayega bahar skin problems ka raaz (Now, the mystery of skin problems will be revealed).”

The ad footage caused quite a stir online, amassing over 9 lakh views. The comment section buzzed with a flurry of reactions from the users.

One user humorously remarked, “I was waiting for Daya to break through a pimple in the end!” while another added, “Never-ending relationship between Daya sir and Doors.”

A surprised viewer commented, “A collab we didn’t expect coming.”
