The doctor claimed that there is a common misconception about beer in society. Drinking beer is believed to remove stones or play a better role in keeping kidneys clean. He called these claims to be baseless. The nephrologist said that if one drinks a lot of water, the stone from the kidney will get removed. Beer is harmful to the body.

As per the expert, if the alcoholic beverage is consumed in large quantities then it can harm the body. Beer contains alcohol which can damage the liver, increase obesity and affect mental health as well. It is better not to consume beer.

Do you know how beer is made?

The process of making beer is called brewing. It contains four main components that are water, malted barley, hops and yeast. The barley grains are soaked in water and then germinated. Then they are dried and converted into malt. After that, the malt is ground and mixed with hot water. This helps in the removal of sugar that was present in the grains. This whole concoction is then boiled and hops are added to it. Hops add bitterness and aroma to beer. Once the mixture is not boiling hot anymore, yeast is added, which makes the concoction alcoholic by converting the sugar into alcohol.

The beer is not ready for immediate consumption. It has to be left for a few days or weeks so that its taste becomes smooth. Finally, the beer is filled into glass bottles or cans and sent to the market.
