Days after the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, devotees from the Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj have gifted a silver broom weighing 1.75 kg to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.
The silver broom has been presented by the devotees to be used for cleaning the Garbha Griha (sanctum sanctorum) of the temple that houses Lord Ram Lalla.
“Devotees of Shri Ram from the ‘Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj’ donate a silver broom to the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, with a request that it be used for cleaning the Garbha Griha. The silver broom weighs 1.751 kg,” news agency ANI wrote sharing a video of the same on X (Formerly Twitter).

In the video, devotees can be seen leading a march with the silver broom raised high and adorned with garlands.
“Diwali like events were celebrated around the world on January 22,” Madhukar Rao Devhare, a member of Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj, told ANI.
“The broom is also kept for worship during the diwali celebration, hence, the Akhil Bharatiya Mang Samaj gifted a silver broom to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust,” Devhare added.

Since its opening on January 22, nearly 19 lakh devotees have visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, according to India Today. The temple, which opened to the public on January 23 following the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony, has since attracted an estimated 18.75 lakh devotees from across the country. The first day alone had a staggering 5 lakh visitors, and the numbers have remained consistently high, with daily visits averaging more than 2 lakh.
According to the new timings issued by the temple trust, the day will begin with the Shringaar aarti of the Ram Lalla idol at 4:30 am, followed by the Mangala prayer at 6:30 am. After that, the devotees can seek blessings of Lord Ram at the temple from 7 am onwards.
Devotees from all over the world sent gifts to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya ahead of its consecration ceremony as a mark of respect. These include a 108-foot-long incense stick, a necklace themed after the Ram Temple, a laddu weighing 1,265 kg, and a silk bed sheet depicting the Shri Ram Temple.
