Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda, the beloved duo from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, have been ruling hearts of fans with their on screen chemistry and bond. This family drama is among the longest running daily soap and recently the team celebrated their fourteenth year milestone in January. Meanwhile, the viewers are hooked with the current storyline, as it is filled with various twists and turns. Amidst all the drama, rumours are circulating on the social media about a possible generation leap for Rajan Shahi’s show, which is set to take place in November or December.
While the makers have not yet officially confirmed this leap, reports also suggests that the characters of Dr Abhimanyu Birla and Akshara Goenka, portrayed by Harshad and Pranali, may also bid farewell to series.
According to a report from India Forums, an insider involved in the production has shared insights into Harshad’s exit from the show. It appears that the makers have carefully orchestrated an emotional departure for Abhimanyu. Additionally, Abhir, portrayed by Shreyansh Kaurav, will also be bidding adieu to the series. The storyline is set to take a dramatic turn as both characters are caught in a tragic car accident, resulting in their demise. Meanwhile, the details surrounding Akshara’s exit from the show are being kept tightly under wraps.
Previously, Jay Soni, who played the character Abhinav, also exited the show. His departure created the opportunity for Akshara and Abhimanyu to unite and get married for the sake of their son, Abhir. This turn of events thrilled Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda fans. However, a teaser showing Akshara expecting Abhinav’s child left viewers confused and people are now waiting to see how things will go ahead.
Meanwhile, numerous celebrity names such as Shaheer Sheikh, Karan Kundrra and Karan Wahi have been circulating as the new lead of the show. However, none of these reports have turned out to be accurate. Recently, there were speculations that Fahmaan Khan and Tejasswi Prakash were in talks to play the lead roles. While Tejasswi has remained silent on the rumours, Fahmaan has finally broken his silence in an interview with Bollywood Spy.
He told, “Nahi, nahi. Aisa kuch nahi hai, abhi tak toh koi baat nahi hui hai. Baat shayad hui thi mere manager se uske baad I don’t know what happened.”
Originally, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai began with Karan Mehra and Hina Khan as Naitik and Akshara, followed by Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi as Kartik and Naira. Presently, there are speculations that the show’s creators are in the final stages of selecting new leads for the next generation.
