New Delhi: After museums and tourist destinations, Disney World has become the latest hater of selfie sticks. Disney World theme parks have officially banned the narcissism inducing technology product in a bid to keep the happiest places on the Earth truly happy, and safe.

Disney World spokeswoman Kim Prunty says, ”We strive to provide a great experience for the entire family, and unfortunately selfie sticks have become a growing safety concern for both our guests and cast,” Orlando Sentinel reports.

The ban will be applicable at the Disneyland Resort in California from June 30, while Disney’s Parks in Paris and Hong Kong will start banning the selfie sticks starting July 1.

Selfie sticks have already been banned from museums, tourist destinations, stadiums, and other such public places where they could prove disruptive to the extent of even physically harming others.

Recently, at the Disney California Adventure park, a roller coaster was halted after a passenger pulled out a selfie-stick. The ride was closed for an hour.
