Users Experience 'Jelly' Scrolling On OnePlus 5, Company Says It's Normal
This is something that's not that big of a problem except for the fact that the display feels a lot jelly like and flow of apps and text is a bit squishy.

Many users across the world who've got hold of the latest flagship killer smartphone from OnePlus- the OnePlus 5 have been seeing a jelly like scrolling effect on their screens. This is something that's not that big of a problem except for the fact that the display feels a lot jelly like and flow of apps and text is a bit squishy. On Reddit there are plenty of discussion on how to find out whether your OnePlus 5 has a jelly screen. Interestingly not many have been complaining about this problem and it's also because you see the jelly-like scrolling effect only if you keep the phone at a distance from your eye and scroll. OnePlus 5 this year is one of the most powerful smartphones to launch the world over and was a part of controversy as well when it came to benchmark scores. The OnePlus 5 comes with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 8GB of RAM. That's more firepower than the laptop you might be reading this article on. And yes, OnePlus has been sending out updates for the device at regular intervals to fix bugs and improve the performance of the device. This Jelly like scrolling is something that we least expected. It's just like how Samsung Galaxy S8 had a red tint issue.

This is how it looks

Nevertheless the company has issued a statement that was reported by Verge that the ‘jelly’ scrolling effect on OnePlus 5 is normal. OnePlus said in a statement, "the OnePlus 5 uses the same level of high-quality components as all OnePlus devices, including the AMOLED display. We've received feedback from a small number of users saying that at times they notice a subtle visual effect when scrolling. This is natural and there's no variance in screens between devices."

This means that the company has acknowledged that this is not a manufacturing issue but completely normal. In that case, you have nothing to worry about if you are also facing the Jelly scrolling effect on the display of your OnePlus 5. We are pretty sure that the company would like to stabilise the problem with future updates.
