Swiss Mobile Software Firm Sicap Eyes 3-fold Revenue Jump in India
Besides, the company plans to increase its operations and marketing team that will cater to businesses in India and South Asia.

Swiss mobile software firm Sicap expects 3-fold increase in revenue contribution from Indian market by next year, mainly on account of business from mobile virtual network operators.

The company, a spin-off of Swisscom, moved its global development centre to Kolkata to tap on growth opportunity and plans to almost triple the workforce in 12-18 months to support business expansion.

"India contributes around 3-4%. With around 60 mobile virtual network operators coming in, we expect India to contribute 10-15% in our global business," Sicap Group CEO Markus Doetsch told.

The company provides SIM management solution that connects mobile SIM with network and manages service on it. At present, the Sicap is providing its service to Reliance Jio. It also provides Internet of Things platform, stolen mobile tracking and security solutions.

"We have moved our entire product development workforce to India in 2015. We started with 6 people and now we have 50 people. In 12-18 months, we will triple this workforce as growth for us will not only come from telecom operators, but other solutions as well. We expect to deploy our 20 IoT platforms in

India by the end of this year," Doetsch said.

Besides, the company plans to increase its operations and marketing team that will cater to businesses in India and South Asia.
