iPhones Are Crashing And These Four Characters Are The Reason For It: Know More
Apple is not aware of this issue but iPhone users are seeing their device crash because of a mysterious bug that can hit anyone.

iPhones are crashing and the reason will shock you. A security researcher has observed that iPhones can stop working if they type a special set of characters, four to be precise. The bug is an issue and because it is happening by typing characters, people should be aware of how this can crash their device as well.

iPhone Crashing Because Of These Characters

So what are these four characters that can prove to be detrimental for iPhone users? The researcher has said that if you type – duo of double quotation marks along with two colons (“”::) are good enough to crash the iPhone which is also known as Springboard. We independently typed these characters in the iPhone settings section, and yes, the iPhone did crash.

Does this bug need your immediate attention? In some ways yes, especially if you ever plan to type these characters together in the iPhone’s search bar. Apple has not commented on the bug but with all these reports in the public, the company will be keeping an eye out and ensuring that iPhone users have a fix for the crash issue. So, we are hoping that the next iOS update has this character bug sorted once and for all.

In the meantime, we advise people from trying out these characters together on iPhone because you don’t want this quick test to turn into something bigger for their device. Let’s hope the next iOS update offers a fix so we suggest you keep an eye out for the pop up which alerts you about a new update from Apple.

What's your reaction?
