Huawei's Sub-brand Honor is all set to launch their upcoming flagship smartphone for 2017. The device will be called Honor 8 Pro and will compete directly with OnePlus 5. The phone will be launched in India on July 6 and will be sold exclusively on Amazon India.
The Honor 8 Pro is a similarly specced phone when compared to the OnePlus 5. The device will come with a dual camera setup and Huawei's own Kirin 960 processor. The phone is expected to be priced under Rs 30,000 in India. If that will be the case then, the OnePlus 5 might find a stiff competition from this device.
Don't Miss: OnePlus 5 Review
The Honor 8 Pro has a better display on offer than the OnePlus 5. It's bigger as well. The Indian consumers are very price sensitive and they also like big screen smartphones. If Honor will manage to keep the price of the phone under Rs 30,000 many OnePlus 5 consumers might be lured into making a tough decision as the OnePlus 5 starts at Rs 32,999 and also lacks expandable memory storage.
The OnePlus 5 6GB RAM / 64GB ROM version is priced at Rs 32,999 and the Honor 8 Pro will come with 6GB RAM / 128GB storage. And at Rs 2,999 lesser than the OnePlus 5 might make a sweet deal for people looking to buy a near flagship smartphone on a budget. Both the devices also come with a dual-camera setup.
