Severe chest congestion in February had created worries about his health.
New Delhi: Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Sunday underwent what doctors said was "a regular check-up" at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the national capital.
"We have conducted some medical tests, including X-ray and blood tests, on him. He stayed in the hospital for two-and-a-half hours and is perfectly fine," said AIIMS medical superintendent D K Sharma.
Vajpayee, 84, reached the hospital at 1110 hrs IST for the check-up, Sharma said.
The Bharatiya Janata Party leader was admitted to AIIMS on February 3 following chest infection. He was on ventilator after his condition deteriorated but his health subsequently improved. He was discharged on March 1.
