New Delhi: Amid reports that some supporters of Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti allegedly delayed a train at Jhansi station, the Minister's office on Wednesday rejected any such occurrence saying the train in question was already running late.
In a statement, her office slammed these reports as a conspiracy to malign her image adding that these were unsubstantiated and untrue.
The Minister's office said that the Jabalpur Nizamuddin train in question was already running late by an hour-and-a-half at Jhansi on March 8 when Bharti boarded the train without causing anyone any inconvenience.
It said she walked a long distance to catch her coach which was parked far away on the platform.
The Minister's office also said the train finally reached Delhi 48 minutes late the next morning.
