27. Tuikum is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Mizoram and is part of Mizoram Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Tuikum falls in Serchhip district and North region of Mizoram. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 15,461 voters in the seat, which includes 7,682 male voters, and 7,779 female voters. In the 2018 Mizoram elections, Tuikum recorded a voter turnout of 87.14%. In 2013 the turnout was 87.6%, and in 2008 it was 87.3%.
In 2013, Er Lalrinawma of MNF won the seat by a margin of 14 votes (0.11%). Er Lalrinawma secured 35.53% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 402 votes (3.47%), registering 36.81% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, IND led in the Tuikum Assembly segment of the Mizoram Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
