New Delhi: After losing his job, it seems that former railway minister Pawan Bansal is not happy with the media's role in the Railways bribery and cash-for-jobs scam. When some reporters asked Bansal about his family and the role played by his relatives in the Railways bribery and cash-for-jobs scam, the former minister was very livid.
Bansal claimed that he had no business relations with his nephew Vijay Singla who has been arrested by the CBI in the scam. He also said that accused in the bribery scam and was ready for an investigation.
"I have done no wrong," said Bansal. But when some reporters insisted on knowing about his links with Singla, a furious Bansal shot back saying "should I explain you about the family in private"
"I have nothing to do with this bribery case. I welcome CBI probe. I have no business relations with my nephew. Sometimes the BJP accuses the CBI of doing nothing and now they are demanding a probe by the same agency," he added.
Meanwhile, the BJP has continued with its attack on Bansal and said that all those involved in the scam should be punished. The Congress too has also taken a strident stand now after the resignation of Bansal and Ashwani Kumar.
Congress spokesperson Janardan Dwidi said removing Bansal and Ashwani was a joint decision of Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said also targeted the BJP and accused the party of complaining about everything.
