New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi released a mock report card of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the fourth anniversary of his government, saying the PM had ‘failed’ in the subjects of job creation, agriculture, controlling fuel prices and foreign policy.
Tweeting the ‘report card’, Gandhi gave Modi ‘A+’ for ‘slogan creation’ and ‘self-promotion’.

While BJP leaders listed the achievements of the Modi government, the Congress marked the day as one of ‘betrayal’, holding protests in several states.
Releasing a booklet titled 'India Betrayed', Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ashok Gehlot and Randeep Surjewala said an atmosphere of fear and hatred has been created under the NDA rule. "People now know that Modi-Amit Shah duo is harmful for country. Four years of the Modi government can be defined in four terms — treachery, trickery, revenge and lies," AICC communication's in-charge Surjewala said.
Referring to atrocities on Dalits, tribals, minorities and women, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, said, "Nobody is safe in India under the BJP government. Everyone is getting sleepless nights."
"Atmosphere of fear, hatred and violence was created in the last four years of the Modi government," AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot said at the joint press conference.
In the booklet, the Congress asked a set of 40 questions to PM Modi.
The BJP, too, used the opportunity to target the Congress, saying four years of Modi government had ended the politics of “appeasement and dynasty”.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ended politics of appeasement, dynasty and casteism, and ushered politics of development," Shah said, adding that the government had resolved the long-pending issue of One Rank One Pension within a year of coming to power.
Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Shah said that with the 2016 surgical strikes conducted across the LoC, the government exhibited its political willingness to take on the country's adversaries.
"Modi dispensation is sensitive and committed towards development of villages," Shah said, noting that while focusing on the rural areas, due emphasis was also given to urban areas.
