Nitish attacks Modi, says India never saw a PM seeking votes in name of caste
Citing examples of previous Prime Ministers, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Nitish said that this is the first time that a country's leader is playing partisan politics.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for seeking votes in the name of caste and religion.

Citing examples of previous Prime Ministers, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Nitish said that this is the first time that a country's leader is playing partisan politics.

Criticising the Prime Minister for his sartorial appearance and his affiliation towards capitalists, Kumar said, "What kind of leadership is this? The PM stresses on his Hindu lineage, pushes claims of his backward caste and there are times when he portrays himself as a Gujarati merchant."

"He wears expensive suits, colludes with capitalists. But during polls, he suddenly transforms into a poor tea-seller in order to seek mandate", he added.

Reminiscing former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Nitish Kumar said that Vajpayee always put the nation ahead of himself. He even recalled a rally of Vajpayee when the former PM said, "If you're a Bihari, then I am Atal Bihari".

What's your reaction?
