Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday filed his nomination papers from Gunaur assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday filed his nomination papers from Gunaur assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh.

Mulayam, who is contesting from two seats in the state assembly polls, was accompanied by the SP national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav.

He had filed his nomination from Bharthana assembly constituency in Etawah district on March 20.

But the CM alleges that he had to contest from Gunnaur and Bharthana seats as there was a conspiracy against him.

After his nomination, the SP chief addressing a rally said that the Election Commission was acting as an agent of ruling Congress.

He also took exception to the Commission's decision to keep the state police out of the polling centres.

"Our police and PAC are very capable yet they have been kept out of the polling centres," he was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
