Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior members of the Cabinet to discuss the unrest in Jammu and Kashmir but there was no representative from the state.
Neither Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti nor any other minister or senior government functionary was present at the meeting. Former chief minister Omar Abdullah targeted the Centre for not including any representative from the state which is ruled by the PDP-BJP alliance.
