Jharkhand: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Thursday said, they had no differences with the UPA and would contest the coming Lok Sabha polls in alliance with the coalition and its allies in Jharkhand.
JMM MP from Giridih Teklal Mahto said, "We had contested the last election together and won 13 of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state. JMM would contest the forthcoming election unitedly with UPA."
Referring to the attitude of Congress since JMM chief Shibu Soren lost Tamar by-election, Mahto said they were in constant touch with the Congress in-charge in the state. Later, addressing a meeting, Mahto said the dream of
separate Jharkhand state remained unfulfilled as the rein of state fell on wrong hands.
Appreciating Soren's short tenure, he said Soren had proved his mettle during his short tenure as Chief Minister addressing all section of society.
He said, tribal population had been exploited for decades and were continuing to be exploited as the party at the helm of power were neither concerned about the tribals and downtrodden nor had any contribution in the creation of Jharkhand state.
Earlier, upset over the attitude of Congress since Soren's defeat in the by-election, JMM leaders had said the party was set to contest Lok Sabha polls alone if Congress failed to respond positively.
