12. Jashpur is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of Raigarh (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Jashpur falls in Jashpur district and North region of Chhattisgarh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.
There are a total of 2,21,453 voters in the seat, which includes 1,10,866 male voters, and 1,10,560 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, Jashpur recorded a voter turnout of 76.66%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.18%, and in 2008 it was 71.63%.
In 2013, Rajsharan Bhagat of BJP won the seat by a margin of 34,349 votes (21.98%). Rajsharan Bhagat secured 50.81% of the total votes polled.
BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 15,770 votes (12.26%), registering 50.18% of the total votes polled.
