While all exit polls have clearly put the BJP way ahead of its rivals, News24-Today's Chanakya gives the party absolute majority in both Maharashtra and Haryana.
Maharashtra and Haryana have voted and results will be known on October 19 when electronic voting machines (EVMs) are opened and votes counted. According to exit polls conducted by several agencies for different news channels, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is way ahead of its rivals in both the states and very close to forming the government on its own.
