I threw Karunanidhi's notice into trash: Swamy
ibnlive invited Janata Party president and 2G whistleblower Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday for a freewheeling chat.

New Delhi: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy emerged as the biggest whistleblower in one of the most sensational scams to hit the country in recent times. The 2G Spectrum scam not only led to the sacking and arrest of former Telecom Minister A Raja, but even threatens the forthcoming Budget session over a JPC into it. ibnlive.com invited Swamy on Wednesday for a freewheeling chat on the political, legal and economic aspects of the 2G scam.

Swamy's open spat with the DMK dominated the conversation. When a reader asked about M Karunanidhi's legal notice to him after the DMK patriarch's name was dragged into the 2G controversy, Swamy said, "I have thrown it into my waste paper basket. Let him file a case instead of sending me inane notices." When asked if the law would catch up with Karunanidhi's daughter and MP Kanimozhi, Swamy said, "She is next in the CBI scanner."

When asked if he will include Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi as accused in the 2G investigation, Swamy said emphatically, "Yes and yes." On another reader's question related to the Gandhi family (Who is the inspiration of this brazen act and its sequel in S-band 'chori'), Swamy took two names: "Suresh Pachauri and Sonia (Gandhi)."

When a reader asked why Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is not responsible for the various scams during the UPA regime, Swamy said, "He is responsible. But from day one we knew that he was not his own man." When the reader asked whose man was the PM, he retorted: "Sonia's."

On another reader's remark that he should merge his Janata Party with the BJP since "their ideologies remain the same", Swamy said, "In 1999 the NDA government deserved to be toppled." When another reader suggested he should join the BJP, he said, "Ask them."

When a reader asked who his political inspiration is, Swamy didn't take any name and instead said, "The Bhagvat Gita."
