Furious after Delhi loss, Modi wants Bihar by all means: Nitish Kumar
The Bihar elections are seen as a fight between Modi and Kumar, both captaining their respective groupings.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday claimed that the Prime Minister has become 'furious' after losing the Delhi Assembly polls and wants to win in Bihar "by hook or by crook", but he will not succeed.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is furious after the loss in Delhi, so he wishes to win in Bihar by hook or by crook, but he will not succeed in his expansionist plan," Kumar said.

Kumar said he has no "personal fight" against the PM, "but, we are taken aback by the language used by him which does not behove a person sitting on the high constitutional seat of PM."

The Bihar elections are seen as a fight between Modi and Kumar, both captaining their respective groupings. The five-phase polls will begin on October 12.

"Just see the approach, listen to the speech. He has not been able to digest severe drubbing BJP got in Delhi polls," Kumar said referring to Modi.

"What else you can expect from a person whose background does not have any links with freedom struggle," Kumar said, adding this was the first time a party has come to power at the Centre whose parental organisation RSS had nothing to do with freedom movement of the country.

After getting power at the Centre, BJP was guided by the "greed" to capture power in states too, the senior JD(U) leader said. Congress had the same approach earlier but was jolted by the JP movement, he said.

Kumar, who has been chosen as CM nominee of grand secular alliance, said they would go to voters on the basis of work done in the past.

The chief minister dwelt in detail the work done by his government in the field of education, power, roads and agriculture, among others. Kumar also repeated his vision for future which would focus on skill development among others at an investment of Rs 2.7 lakh crore.
