Patna: There seems to be a divide in the Janata Dal United (JDU) over the party joining hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Five political parties including RJD, JDU and Mulayam Singh's Samajwadi Party are coming together to form a Janata Parivar at the national level.
However, there seems to be dissent within the JDU over such the coalition. "If you ask my personal opinion, I'm against this merger. There should be no alliance with Lalu Prasad," JDU MLA Gautam Singh says but added that the party's decision is final in the matter.
A proposed meeting for this new coalition in Delhi on the January 30 may also get jeopardised. According to reports, JDU leader Nitish Kumar is likely to skip the meeting.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has terned the coming together of Janata Parivar outfits as a get-together of "corrupt" and "brand ambassadors of misgovernance". The party had even said that their joint agitation is road-blocker in the path of development and good governance initiated by the Narendra Modi government.
