New Delhi: Taking strong exception to the language used by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate LK Advani, the BJP on Saturday demanded immediate sacking of Lalu from the Union Cabinet.
BJP spokesman Balbir Punj said that Lalu exceeded all limits of decency at a campaign meeting in Darbhanga on Friday when he used unparliamentary language to accuse Advani of being responsible for demolishing Babri Masjid.
This was not the first time Prasad has been accused of using unparliamentary language.
Earlier, he had threatened to run a road roller over BJP candidate from Philibit Varun Gandhi while referring to the hate speech controversy, he added.
Punj said in democracy there is no scope using abusive language and it was time for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to drop him from the Cabinet.
A BJP delegation would meet the Election Commission to lodge a formal complaint against the Minister. The EC should direct the state government to file an FIR against Lalu like it had done in the case of Varun Gandhi, he added.
