Lucknow: Intensifying its campaign against the Congress, the state BJP unit has decided to "expose" the UPA government by appraising the common man of its stand on coal block allocation, Assam violence and other issues.
The party will provide literature and CDs to its workers to help them reach out to the masses and educate people about the issues, BJP state president Lakshmikant Bajpai said on Thursday.
"We will take issues of Assam violence, coal block allocation, Muslim appeasement, crisis of fertiliser and power among the public. We will be distributing literature and CDs to the party workers to make them aware about these issues," Bajpai said after a party meeting on Thursday.
He said on the occasion of birth anniversary of Deen Dayal Upadhyay on September 25, party will felicitate all those who held posts of district presidents before 1990s.
On the membership drive of the party, Bajpai said that the results of the drive were encouraging, and the party exceeded its target by 20 per cent to 100 per cent.
He said the party will launch a campaign to woo the voters for the Lok Sabha polls due in 2012 and in October this year it will collect funds through a "Dhan Sangrah" campaign.
