19. Aizawl South-II is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Mizoram and is part of Mizoram Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Aizawl South-II falls in Aizawl district and Aizwal region of Mizoram. It is categorised as a urban seat.
There are a total of 24,472 voters in the seat, which includes 11,320 male voters, and 13,152 female voters. In the 2018 Mizoram elections, Aizawl South-II recorded a voter turnout of 77.26%. In 2013 the turnout was 81%, and in 2008 it was 78.6%.
In 2013, Lt Col Zosangzuala of INC won the seat by a margin of 1,043 votes (6.03%). Lt Col Zosangzuala secured 39.79% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 489 votes (3.44%), registering 36.34% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, IND led in the Aizawl South-II Assembly segment of the Mizoram Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
