'They Lend Me Their Bats': Anupam Mittal Offers Help to Nepal Cricketer After Pic With Rohit Sharma Goes Viral

Shark Tank India’s Anupam Mittal’s touching response to Nepali cricketer Lalit Rajbanshi’s words on platform X has elated several fans. A fan account uploaded a post on platform X, quoting the Nepali cricketer’s situation of not having a suitable bat for international matches.

Despite limited resources, Nepal has made significant strides in world cricket. A fan account on platform X, shared a post quoting Nepal cricketer Lalit Rajbanshi about him not having a suitable bat for international matches. In the post, Rajbanshi explained that he mostly relied on his teammate Kushal Bhurtel’s bat during the hour of need.

The original post read, “Nepal cricketer Lalit Rajbanshi said, ‘I’ve bat to play in nets, but I don’t have a suitable one for international matches. During actual games, I rely on my teammates’ bats & they lend me their bats. I mostly use Kushal Bhurtel bat.”

The touching story soon caught the attention of Shark Tank India judge and Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal, who has offered to help the cricketer. “Pls put him in touch with me, can try & help him with his kit,” Mittal wrote with quoting the original tweet.

This reply has sparked many reactions from users on the internet.

A user commended the entrepreneur for his wonderful gesture towards the Nepali cricketer. He wrote, “Your initiative to assist Lait Rajbanshi is not just about cricket; it’s about nurturing talent and fostering a brighter future of Nepali sports. Together, we can make a difference!”

In another response, a fan called Mittal his favourite and wrote, “My favourite shark for a reason.”

One user highlighted the wonderful relationship between teammates in the Nepal locker room. He said, “This is the essence of camaraderie in sports! Another person emphasised the importance of providing adequate gear to upcoming talents to bring out the best in them. “Providing proper equipment to young talents is an investment in the future of Nepali cricket. Your generous offer could help him shine on the international stage,” the reply read.

Lalit Rajbanshi was a crucial asset for Nepal in their 2023 Asia Cup campaign. Although he failed to get any wickets in the opening match against Pakistan, he kept the scoring rate in check. He conceded only 48 runs in 10 overs. However, Nepal ended up losing the game by 238 runs. Rajbanshi remained wicket-less in Nepal’s second game against India as well. The bowler conceded 24 runs in four overs as India ran away with a 10-wicket victory.

Nepal will next compete at the Asian Games 2023, starting from September 27. They will face Mongolia in the opening game of the tournament.
