The Certificate in Accounting Technician (CAT) course test for military personnel, offered by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), is slated for December 28 at the Indore-Dewas Chapter for those appearing for the state of Madhya Pradesh. Soldiers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force will be among those taking part in the Certificate in Accounting Technician test. Thirty candidates from the current batch will sit for the test in Indore. This will include four candidates from the Army, fourteen from the Navy, and twelve from the Air Force—.
According to a report by the Free Press Journal, this programme seeks to give military soldiers who are nearing retirement specialist training in the finance sector and is being offered in collaboration with the Directorate General of Rehabilitation of Soldiers (Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare) under the Ministry of Defence.
CMA Ravindra Dubey, Media In-Charge, and CMA Rahul Jain, Chairman of the Indore-Dewas Chapter, was quoted by the FPJ as stating that the test will be held at five exam locations across India, namely: Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chennai, and Bhubaneswar. The only testing facility for the Certificate in Accounting Technician (CAT) in the state of Madhya Pradesh is located in Indore.
There will be two question papers in the evaluation, each with a total of 100 marks and multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Participants need to receive at least 40 per cent on each question paper and a total score of 50 per cent to pass the test.
With this programme, the dedication to provide financial literacy to military personnel upon their transition into civilian life is further reinforced.
In the meantime, the CA Foundation test admit card for the December 2023 session has been released by the ICAI. The CA Foundation December session tests will be conducted by the ICAI on December 31, 2023, January 2, 4, and 6, 2024. The duration of the CA Foundation Test is two hours. Papers 1 and 2 are scheduled to be administered from 2 pm to 5 pm, and Papers 3 and 4 from 2 pm to 4 pm as per mentioned on the admit cards.
