IPL 2024 Players’ Auction is all set to place in Dubai on December 19 and the BCCI has also released the list of 333 players who are scheduled to go under the gavel at the Coca-Cola Arena.
It is not going to be a mega auction but the star-studded list includes a total of 116 capped players, while uncapped players are 215. They will be competing for a maximum of 77 slots that are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players.
The top 3 brackets in the auction are going to be INR 2 crore, INR 1.5 crore and INR 1 crore.
Several overseas stars have placed their names in the top three brackets to get the attention of franchises and get a hefty pay cheque from them.
23 players are in the highest reserve price of INR 2 crore and13 players are in the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore.
Meanwhile, the INR 1 crore category is also filled with some stars including Sam Billings, David Wiese, Rovman Powell and Alzarri Joseph. These players have rich experience of IPL but Daryl Mitchell will be the player from this category attracting major attention. The Kiwi all-rounder had a sensational World Cup where he scored a couple of crucial centuries for his side and he looked comfortable batting on Indian pitches.
