A waiter was left with two broken bones in the hands and a severe injury to the leg after a clash between staffers and group of five people, two men and three women, at a club in Haryana’s Panchkula on Sunday.
The waiter was not only assaulted but also dragged for a 100 metres, all stemming from a dispute over a food and liquor bill totaling ₹23,000.
In Panchkula’s Sector 20, two men, accompanied by three women, were enjoying a night out at Posh Cafe and Club. Following an extended session of revelry, which lasted until 4 am, the two men found themselves at odds with the nightclub staff over the bill.
The dispute quickly escalated into a physical altercation, involving the two men and the club’s bouncers. Later, when the two men were outnumbered, they called other friends for backup, who arrived in two cars, armed with sticks and swords. The team then joined in attacking the nightclub workers.
Amidst the chaos, the three women brandished swords while engaging in kicking, punching, and grappling.
But soon, as the intensity of the altercation increased, both men and their female companions attempted to make flee the spot. It was then that the 18-year-old waiter, tried to stop them when he was dragged for over 100 metres in the hurdle.
According to reports, after the entire was over, around 20 cops arrived at the incident and started a probe.
