Sushmita Sen on Tuesday celebrated her father’s birthday by sharing a series of unseen family photos on social media. The Aarya 3 actress took to her Instagram handle to express her love and gratitude to her father, accompanied by a heartfelt message that read, “Proud to be Your Daughter.”
Sushmita wrote, “Happpyyyyyyy Birthday Daddy @sensubir. You are my greatest source of strength & happiness!!! Thank you for giving us the courage to build a world of love…where acceptance is born from the heart!!! I pray God blesses you with the best of health & divine happiness always…your Grandchildren & I thank God for YOU everyday!!!! Proud to be YOUR daughter!!”

In an exclusive chat with News18, the former Miss Universe winner revealed that the health condition brought about a change in her and that she has chosen to take it to stride and look at life with a whole new perspective. “It was a phase and it passed. I am very lucky to be on the other side,” she states. While it has made her more responsible, she has now learnt to value her life a lot more. “It doesn’t make me fearful now, instead I now have a feeling of promise, of something to look forward to. When you get a new lease on life, you respect it and are more careful,” adds Sushmita.
On the work front, she was recently seen in Aarya. The actress performance was praised by everyone. Directed by Ram Madhvani, it is a crime drama starring Sushmita Sen as ‘Aarya’ – a lady who decides to protect her family from the mafia gangs after her husband’s death. While the first two seasons revolve around Aarya’s efforts to find her husband’s murderer and protect her family, the third season explores her life as she becomes the don herself.
