Meghan Markle has transitioned into a new life in California, distancing herself from her past in the UK. After leaving the royal family, she’s been slowly and steadily isolating herself from the drama surrounding it, as shared by sources to Royal author Omid Scobie in his upcoming book, Endgame. Although the book releases on November 28, in a recent interview with People, Scobie claimed that Meghan has ‘moved on’ from the royals. However, her husband Prince Harry still maintains connections with his father, King Charles III and some other family members, indicating that he has some unresolved matters with them, but Meghan has no interest to look back.
The author said, “Quite early on in the process, some of those Meghan sources that I really leant on in the earlier years this time were like, ‘You know what? She doesn’t want anything to do with it.’ For Harry it’s different. He still has unfinished business when it comes to his battles with the press. His challenge will be to find something that balances that out so we can see him working in a space that isn’t connected to the ties that bind from the past.”
Despite tensions in the family, the Sussexes haven’t entirely distanced themselves from the Royal Family. According to reports, they reached out to King Charles to extend birthday wishes on November 14. This was allegedly the first conversation between Harry and his father in months, following the release of Harry’s controversial memoir, Spare. According to Omid Scobie, Harry doesn’t want to completely cut ties with them and it’s often the Duke of Sussex who initiates these conversations.
“I was surprised to learn that even Meghan has some sort of correspondence with Charles, sending over photos of the children, although they’re not directly to him. So there is a willingness there,” the author added.
Earlier this year, Harry attended his father’s coronation ceremony and spent time with brother, Prince William. However, he didn’t receive an invitation to join the Royal Family on the palace balcony to greet the citizens. During this event, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, remained at home in the US and celebrated Archie’s birthday separately.
During Charles’s Coronation, Prince Harry and Prince William were photographed together, yet Omid Scobie has claimed that their relationship is irreparable and said, “There’s No Going Back.” As per Scobie’s source, Harry is a ‘defector,’ according to William’s perspective. The two brothers were very much close before, but now they have drifted apart.
