The much-anticipated action film ‘Yudhra’ is gearing up for its big release, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. Starring Siddhant Chaturvedi, Malavika Mohanan, and Raghav Juyal in lead roles, the film has already made waves with its trailer and first song. Now, a new track titled ‘Sohni Lagdi’ has been released, adding more excitement to the mix.
‘Sohni Lagdi’ is a peppy club number that promises to get everyone on their feet. The upbeat track, composed by Prem & Hardeep, sung by Jaz Dhami & Sonna Rele, and penned by Raj Ranjodh, showcases the sizzling chemistry between Siddhant and Malavika. Set in a vibrant club, the actors impress with stylish outfits and electrifying dance moves choreographed by the renowned Bosco-Caesar duo. The energy and catchy beats of the song are sure to make it a hit on the dance floor.
Earlier, the 2-minute, 41-second trailer provided an exciting glimpse into ‘Yudhra’s’ intense storyline. Siddhant Chaturvedi takes on the role of Yudhra, a character grappling with anger issues, while Malavika Mohanan plays Nikhat, his love interest. Raghav Juyal is cast as the antagonist Shafiq, adding a thrilling dynamic to the plot. The film also stars Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Shilpa Shukla in pivotal roles.
Directed by Ravi Udyawar and written by Shridhar Raghavan, ‘Yudhra’ is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment. The high-octane action scenes were filmed across various locations in India and abroad, and the movie is set to introduce Siddhant Chaturvedi as the next ‘Angry Young Man’ of Bollywood.
To prepare for this action-heavy part, action Siddhant reportedly took extensive training and mastered disciplines like mixed martial arts (MMA), kickboxing and jiu-jitsu. The film also marks Malavika’s entry into Hindi cinema.
Previously, Chaturvedi has shared his excitement about the project, mentioning that Yudhra “pushes the boundary in action.” He said, “Yea, I mean that’s what, and even Yudhra, the action film which I am doing. Even that is pushing the boundary in action. So I am trying to always go for it,” the actor said in an interview in 2022.
‘Yudhra’ is scheduled to hit the big screen on September 20, 2024. According to a source, the filmmakers strategically chose this release date to ensure a clear run at the box office, given the film’s high-action content and star-studded cast. As the countdown continues, fans can look forward to more exciting updates in the lead-up to the film’s release, with “Sohni Lagdi” being the perfect track to build anticipation.
