Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan may not have shared the screen often, but their first time together was for Rakesh Roshan’s Karan Arjun. And guess what? Drama hit the set during one of the song shoots! The two superstars were feeling like total dance legends while grooving to “Bhangra Paa Le,” but their co-star, Mamta Kulkarni, wasn’t having it. She actually scolded them for forgetting their dance steps and told them they were messing up the whole song! Shah Rukh later spoke about it on Bigg Boss, sharing how Mamta pulled them up for not getting it right.

“There is hardly anyone who has scolded me and Salman both. Mamta ji did not approve our step. She said hers was fine but we were ruining the song. So me and Salman were standing on the side and Mamta ji did this (gestures snapping the fingers). Me and Salman both thought that she must not be speaking to us. But we turned and she was looking at us. Salman said she must be calling you and in my innocence, I even went up to her,” Shah Rukh had shared.

Shah Rukh shared that Mamta Kulkarni was very direct with her feedback. She told them to rehearse more because she was doing the steps right.

“So I went and she clearly said that you guys should show up after rehearsal because I am doing the steps correctly but you are ruining it,” Shah Rukh said. Salman chimed in, saying, he thought he was Michael Jackson. Shah Rukh added that he, too, thought he was dancing like Prabhu Deva.

Karan Arjun (1995), directed by Rakesh Roshan, starred Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as brothers who are reincarnated to avenge their deaths. The film also featured Raakhee, Kajol, and Amrish Puri. It was a box office hit, becoming the second-highest-grossing movie of the year. Known for its action, drama, and memorable songs like “Bhangra Paa Le,” the movie remains iconic.
